DIY: Monokini to Bikini

 

Got an old Pink N' Proper swimsuit at the back of your closet and looking to do something creative while staying at home? Let's create something cool for your next beach vacay! 

Click the Youtube video link below, and follow our step-by-step guide to how to make a new bikini, from your old Pink N' Proper Monokini! 

 

Step 1

With a measuring tape & a chalk/pen, label the bikini top 1 inch away from the underwire bra metal. Also, for this tutorial, we are using our classic White Ambrosia Monokini from Pink N’ Proper!

Step 2
Once done, cut the bikini top according to the measurement and put aside the bottom part of the monokini.

Step 3
Take the extra fabric around the underwire bra metal, fold into half and use a pin to ensure that folding stay as it is.

Step 4
Next, sew the extra folded fabric back in the inner part of the bikini top and the bikini top is complete!

Step 5
Take bottom part of the bikini, grab a measuring tape, and label the bikini bottom 1 inch away (Tips: You can take out any old bikini bottoms or underwear and use it as a reference for the bikini bottom)

Step 6
Once done, cut it according to the measurement and take the extra fabric around bikini bottom and fold into half with a pin to ensure that folding stay as it is.

Step 7
Next, sew the extra folded fabric back in the inner part of the bikini bottom and the bikini bottom is complete!
