Vacation Getaway #1: Redang Island, Terengganu

Redang Island is located on the North East coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, just off the South China Sea. Redang Island shot to fame internationally since it became the setting of a famous blockbuster movie from Hong Kong called “Summer Holiday” starring famous stars Richie Ren and Sammie Cheng.
Redang island is especially famous for its long white sandy beach, well-preserved corals, crystal-clear blue sea, fun water activities such as diving and snorkelling. Kapas Island is often overlooked by everyone. Just like Perhentian Island as mentioned above, if you are looking for a less crowded island for a relaxing holiday, this is the perfect getaway island. Expect exquisite (empty) beaches and breathtaking sunsets. Keep your eyes peeled for Kobe the owl which usually hand out at Captain Longhouse during the day.
